Resend Forward

Resend Forward

Dave Kiss on a dark stage beside an open coffin, in front of a giant sketched tombstone that reads “Here lies the Hard way, 1968–2026.”
A single-line drawing of Andy by the Laravel booth's drawing robot, captioned “From one builder to another.”
Andy's reflection in the mirrored screen of a giant iPod nano prop that reads “Now Living.”
An arcade-style Inbox Invaders game on a wall-mounted TV, with a joystick on the wooden counter below.
Zeno Rocha and Guillermo Rauch sitting in armchairs on stage for a fireside chat, with Guillermo's name in huge letters behind them.
A speaker on stage in front of a massive slide that reads “Craft is obsession.”
Conference swag spread out on a hotel bed: stickers, pins, a notebook, a lanyard, and Resend and Laravel goodies.

Before this week, the only tech conference I'd been to was Laracon US. Resend Forward was amazing, especially with the high (IMO) percentage of women and AFAB people!

Dave Kiss's eulogy for the software engineer was my favorite talk by far, and it made me excited about programming again in a way I haven't been in a long time. All of the vendor booths were excellent: the Laravel booth had the Drawbot, and the Paper booth had a create-your-own T-shirt. Christina did an amazing job planning and curating this event, including the gourmet Pop-Tarts that she stole from the Taylor Swift wedding.

The day before, I went to the Laravel Founders Panel, and the day after, I finally made it to Alcatraz.
